DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the Lawrence Board of REALTORS ! New Member Orientation will cover topics that will be pertinent and helpful to you as a new member. Topics will include information regarding the Lawrence Board of REALTORS and the Lawrence MLS\, as well as Member Benefits fo the NAR\, KAR\, & the LBOR\; the REALTOR Code of Ethics\, Fair Housing\, and REALTOR Safety. Additional business resources and tools will be discussed. A panel discussion consisting of LBOR Agents in their first few years in the industry will help you learn and prepare through their startup adventures. The panel discussion is a great opportunity for Q&A that will help you and you launch your Real Estate career.The Executive Officer's watch will be used for the starting time\, and the Board of Directors will rule on any tardiness or missed sessions. Doors will be closed at 9:00 a.m. Admittance will not be allowed after 9:00 a.m. unless approved by the Board of Directors. Cell phones must be turned off during these sessions. Calls and necessary business can be attended to during the break.
